Balinese styled, Rental House With Sweeping Ocean Views
The house is located in an ideal area of Hana, called Maka Alae. There is a beautiful Hawaiian song written about Maka Alae, noted for its ambient weather, gentle breezes and astounding sunrises.
The house is three quarters of a mile up a country road, perched on the first plateau, where the foliage opens to reveal an unobstructed 100-degree view of the ocean, including Koki Beach, Hamoa Beach, Alau Island and the picturesque pine tree coastline.
The Balinese style of the Sunrise House allows for a front wall of french doors and windows opening up to a screened 70-foot veranda that wraps around the front of the dwelling.
The walls are from ten to twelve feet high, creating a very spacious feeling, with lush wood interior design and large ocean-facing windows. The eighteen-foot high open hip beam ceiling is covered with exquisite tongue-and-groove pine.
One third of the split-level floor design is smoothly polished marble-toned concrete leading into the jacuzzi tub and shower room.
The sand-colored concrete kitchen counter tops blend in naturally with the maple counters of this chef’s dream of a kitchen.
I strive to recreate a tropical feeling, with the custom-made over-sized bamboo furniture and lots of Balinese pillows. You’ll enjoy waking up to the breathtaking sunrise from the comfort of your king-size bed.
